2016 June Intensive Training Camp - Pao Cui Section 3
class in New York CityChampaign ScheduleCampSeminars and Workshops

Summer Pao Cui Camp, June 5-10, 2016, Blowing Rock, N.C.

This year will be our 19th annual retreat held at the Blowing Rock Conference Center in the Blue Ridge Mountains surrounding Boone, North Carolina.

Focus this year will be on a careful examination of the third quarter (Section 3 of 4 Sections) of the pao cui form, also known as "cannon fist" or the second routine of the Chen style form. Master Yang will focus significant attention on developing deeper understandings of core principles, energies and applications.

We will continue practicing key standing and moving qigong drills in the mornings and sitting meditation in the evenings. As always, Master Yang’s instruction will focus on the importance of nurturing ourselves (yang shen) and, in the case of push hands, nurturing our training partners. In connection with this, we will again alternate between conventional upright training (in form, pushhands, and applications) and recumbent qigong exercises to restore energy and cultivate critical dimensions of deep relaxation.

Application and Registration Process

IF you have attended camp in the past three years (2013-2015), you need only submit a waiver and registration form. If you have not attended June camp in the past three years, you must first submit an application. As the registration form auto-populates a spreadsheet registration list, every attendee must submit a waiver and registration form.

  • Submit an application. Space is limited, so you are encouraged to apply early. If you have attended camp in the past three years, you may skip the application and submit the waiver and registration forms below.

  • 2016 Pao Cui Camp Waiver Form.

  • 2016 Pao Cui Registration Form.

  • If downpayment or full payment via check, money order or credit card is not received within two weeks of registration, your spot at camp may be offered to other applicants.

Space in the camp is limited and reservations will be processed in the order received. Once the camp is filled, remaining applicants will be placed on a waiting list. You will receive an email confirmation of your status when your deposit is received. Registration priority will be given to full-time participants. If all full-time places are filled, we will not be able to offer the option of part-time participation. If you are interested in part-time camp participation, please indicate so on the application and/or registration form and we will advise you in May whether or not that option will be offered. You may wait to submit your Payment until that time.

Early registration is available from now until November 30, 2015. This early option is available only for students who have been camp participants at one of the last three camps. In order to guarantee your spot, Scott must receive your waiver, registration, and deposit by October 22nd 2015.

The price for this year’s camp will be $980.00 if registration is completed before April 15th. After April 15th the cost will be $1,025. The price of the camp includes meals and cabin lodging and a camp t-shirt.
